At Beauty for Ashes, we believe in the transformative power of art. As a nonprofit based in the greater Washington, D.C. area, our mission is to bring joy, creativity, and healing through various art forms to all youth, especially those in foster care. We're dedicated to fostering connection and providing an authentic space where every young person feels free to create and express themselves.

WHAT WE DO
Beauty for Ashes connects talented local artists directly with youth who may not otherwise have access to artistic experiences. Our artists lead engaging sessions, as part of an organization's existing programming or as a standalone event.

Our artists share their art form with the youth and empower them to create, both individually and together. We want to expose youth to art, so they have an outlet to know their voice, find joy, and possibly create a hobby for a lifetime.
